Sad... but not Sad!!

Pin It Happy Friday!  Today I thought I'd share a card I made for a good friend who recently suffered the loss of a beloved pet.  I always struggle with sympathy cards -- even (gasp!) picking out the store-bought kinds!  I really feel like the traditional designs we've always seen are dignified and lovely and, well...  boring and just not me!

So, here it is -- and I think it is dignified and lovely and not boring!  :)  What do you think?

Supplies:
  • Hero Arts Stamps - "Large Open Flower," Large Solid Flower," and "Everyday Sayings"
  • Neenah "Solar White" Cardstock
  • Hero Arts Inks - "Soft Pool" Shadow Ink & Hero Hues Black
  • Memento Ink - "Tuxedo Black"
  • Copic Markers - B02, B04, BG01, BG02, BG05, BG09, and 0
  • Tim Holtz Distress Stain - "Picket Fence"
  • Martha Stewart punches
  • black cardstock, pearls, adhesives

  1. Jennifer, this is really lovely! Just right, I'd say! As I went to publish this, I noticed that you've got that pesky word-verification turned on - would you please consider doing away with it?

    1. Lin, thank you! I have been an admirer of your work for quite some time, so it means a lot to have you comment here! (and I think I have removed that word-verification thing -- you're right; it's a pain!) Thanks again for visiting and for your kind words! :)
