Ok, so I have had three -- woo-hoo! -- days off in a row this week and have managed to get an (almost) unprecedented amount of crafting time in! What a great way to spend my time off! Emmitt and I spent a great deal of time in my craft room today -- check it out!
My crafting buddy -- faithful and supportive, but worthless for dispensing advice! :) |
Haha! He sits in his chair across the desk from me the entire time I'm working -- like he has a vested interest in my projects! :)
On to the goods: I was inspired by this fabulous sketch over at RetroSketches and this color scheme from The Play Date Cafe. How could I go wrong, right? Oh, but wait! Throw in this pic from The Shabby Tea Room (and the challenge to use a rose in your design!) and it gets even better!
Right. It doesn't get much better than that, huh? Well, here's what I came up with -- well, er... what Emmitt and I came up with:
Oh, my... All these papers are from MME's "Dolled Up" line. These colors just melt my heart! Just totally swoon-worthy!! :) Hope you like it -- let me know what you think -- would love to hear from you! :)
Love to you!
Jennifer (and Emmitt!)
I have a crafting buddy like that his name is Kippy! :) Your card is full of beautiful layers and I love the bow and doilie! So glad you played RetroSketches this week Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteSo creative, bright and FUN ... LOVE!! Thanks for sharing your lovely creation with us all in the Tea Room this week, Jennifer :)
ReplyDeletePS -- I have a chocolate toy poodle fur baby named Hershey that 'assists' me in my craft room too ... she is a precious little joy and such a sweet little friend!!
Oh my gosh, this is so pretty. I love how you've layered everything and what a great way to use up scraps. Thank you so much for playing along at The Play Date Cafe. (and I love the photo of your dog)
ReplyDeleteUh, WOW, Jennifer! It's gorgeous! I like those varied bits of patterns together; really caught my eye. THen the doily did, then the bow did, then the.... ;)
ReplyDeleteSo cute that your furry friend sits with you, bless his little heart! Made me smile and laugh.
Thanks for playing with us at The Play Date Cafe. :)
My jaw just dropped... this. is. GORGEOUS!! I love all the elements and the doily peeking out... beautiful work. Thanks so much for joining us in the Cafe, Jennifer!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a GORGEOUS card! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE everything about it! And I love your little pup as your crafting buddy! LOL! Thanks for joining in the fun and playing along with us over at the PDCC:)
ReplyDeleteLove your card - the design is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 puppies like to 'help' me by pouncing on anytthing i drop and chewing it up! Very helpful for shabby chic style!
So bright and cheery! Great card:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you could join us this week at TSTR! Hope to see you again soon:)
Love your paper, so bright and cheery! oops, I think that has been said, even so it is a delight!!! Thanks for sharing at TSTR!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! So creative and fun! Lovely design paper, flowers, and bow! So sweet how your dog assists you in the craft room! My german shepherd assists me at times, too!:-)
ReplyDeleteOh my patterned paper! So yummy! A perfect Mother's Day card. I love the look on Emmitt's face, he's like, "got food?" or "wanna play?". It's so sweet how he sits across from you. Mine has a bed right behind my desk but she usually INSISTS on sitting DIRECTLY behind my chair then she plays "chicken" to see if she'll get nailed when I roll back. I usually give in first and opt to not run over the dog. Wow, long comment. I'm done.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the half circle, the doily, the pretty papers... great design!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely delightful! I love it!!
