Tiny (and Timely!!) :)

Hi, all!  About to head off to work, so thought I'd pop in for a quick (and I mean QUICK!) share!

I created this card for the current Ten Minute Craft Dash -- I find these so fun…  I'm kinda a little hooked  ;)  The colors this go-round were a buttery yellow, red, and light blue…  Gotta admit that this one was a bit of a challenge for me….

So, I thought of the sage advice of my crafty friend, Melissa Shea, and channeled the words I've seen from her so many times: when stumped, go small!

So, here it is, my little 4" square 10-minute card!  :)

Anyway, hope you like it!  Have a great Friday!  :)

DeNami Blog Hop -- Patterned Paper! :)

Good morning!  Welcome to another DeNami Design Blog Hop!!  This month's theme is Patterned Paper -- which I am totally stoked about!!  (You know I love me some patterned papers!  :)

If you are hopping in order, you should be arriving here from Annette's fabby blog -- I'm sure she had something really fun to share!  Remember if you get lost along the way or just want to start over from the beginning, you can always go to the DeNami blog for a full list of participants!

So I mentioned I might have a teensy-weensy thing for patterned paper…  I just love it -- and rarely do a project where there isn't some little morsel of it included somewhere…  So, for this blog hop, I definitely included some patterned paper, but I also wanted to create some using my very favorite DeNami stamp -- the Garden Bunch!

Can you see why I love this stamp so much??  It's super-fun to color (and you can make it match any color scheme you're working with!) and it's just so sweet!  And I also really love it on this printed patterned paper from Simple Stories -- stamping on printed cardstock has totally become one of my go-to techniques lately, too!  ;)

I paired it all with this little sentiment stamp from the Everyday Greetings Petit Fours set and finished it all off with some sweet sequins from Neat & Tangled...

Thanks so much for stopping by; I hope you like my card!  I'm about to send you on your way to one of my favorite bloggers, Emily Keaton, but before I do, I wanted to remind you that DeNami Design will be giving away two mini shopping sprees to two lucky people just for commenting along the hop!  :)  You have until 11:59 pm PST on Monday, June 10th to get your comments in!  :)  Good luck!

Thanks again for visiting!  Have a great day!

Floral Frenzy! :)

Good Morning!  If you haven't guessed already, I am here this morning participating in the Fresh Florals Blog Hop for DeNami Designs!  I am sooo excited about this hop because florals are just right up my alley!  (is that a Southern term?  Or does it translate where you are?? :)  Regardless, I love working with florals -- stamps, patterned papers, embellishments -- you name it!!

Hopefully, you have arrived here from the very fun blog of Tina Milbourn, who always has such fun things to share -- no doubt she did it again today!  :)  If not, or you want to catch the hop from the beginning, head on over to the DeNami website...

One of my favorite floral images from DeNami is this little cutie called Garden Bunch.  Seriously, how cute is this???  :)

I hope you like my card…  I had a really good time putting this one together!  (If you've been here before, you probably know I kind of have a *thing* for patterned papers -- I never met a 6x6 pad I didn't like…  ok, that may be an over-statement, but you get the idea! ;)

Before I send you off to see what kind of fabulousness Wendy Elliott has in store for you (can't wait to see myself!), I just want to remind you that DeNami Designs will be giving away two mini shopping sprees to people who comment throughout the hop…  You have until 11:59 pm PST on Monday, May 20th to leave your comments to be eligible for one of the prizes!  :)

Hope you enjoy the hop!  Have a super-fab Sunday!  :)

Thankful for you! :)

Good morning!  And welcome to the November DeNami Designs Blog Hop!  I am thrilled to be participating in this month's hop (and thrilled to be back here at my "virtual" home!  :)  If you have arrived here from Emily Keaton's blog (always one of my favorite stops on every DeNami hop!), then you are headed in the right direction!  If you get lost at any point, or just want to start all over from the beginning, you can always head over to the DeNami Designs blog for the whole list!

On to the goods!  I honestly love everything about this month's hop -- the theme, the colors, all of it!  I even used the hop "badge" as my inspiration!  :)  At any rate, it all got me to thinking of all the things (and people!) I am thankful for -- and discovered there were waaaayyyy more than I could put on a single card.  So I decided I'd share just a few of the things (and people!) I absolutely couldn't live without!  :)

I've used a couple of my favorite DeNami Petit Fours sets for this card (you can find them here and here!).  I've used that little leafy stamp several times here lately and just adore it.  It adds the perfect little flourish in tiny little spaces and is fun to ink in different colors!

Thank you for stopping by!  I'm about to send you off to see what kind of super-creative treat Melissa Waldorf has in store for you, but before I do, I just want to remind you that you have until 11:59pm PST on Monday, November 12th to comment all along the hop for a chance to win a DeNami shopping spree!  :)

Thanks again for visiting!  You are yet another thing I am so very thankful for!  :)

Oh, What Tangled Webs We Weave!

Good morning!  Welcome to another spook-tacular DeNami Designs blog hop!  This month's theme is Halloween!  You have hopefully found your way here by way of Laura Petruso's swanky blog (you weren't trailed by any ghouls or goblins along the way, were you??), and if you have, then you are on the right track!  :)

Ok, so…  Halloween!  I have mentioned on this blog before that, while I love Halloween, I really, really, really don't like to be scared -- call me a chicken, 'cuz it's true….  Cute and fun Halloween is way more up my alley.  So, I thought what better for a cute and fun Halloween card than a chubby polka-dotted spider?!?

I used my favorite DeNami stamp -- the Circle Scallop Cling Stamp!  (I know, I know…  with all the super-cute designs in the DeNami arsenal, how could this unassuming little guy stand out as a favorite, you ask??  Well, silly, it's 'cuz it's such a versatile stamp!!  Seriously, I use it a lot… and in a lot of different ways!!  And look what a cute little spider it makes!!!  What's not to love?!? :)

{Bonus Footage:  So, at the risk of being labeled crass, I just had to share this next pic…  As I was setting up to take a "detail" shot (I was trying to show the glittery iridescence of my spider's web…), my little Emmitt decided he'd share his own version of "trick or treat" with you, my lovely readers!  Ha!  I guess this is definitely a photo-fail!  :)  }

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope this hop has been a real "thriller!"  I'm about to send you on your way, off to Lani M's "Mutant Scrapbooker" blog (could there be a more perfect blog name for today's theme?!), but before I do, I just wanted to remind you that you'll want to leave comments all along the hop because there will be two lucky commenters who will win mini shopping sprees from DeNami Designs!  :)

Good luck and Happy Hopping!

"Like" It or Leaf It!

Hello, my friends!  I have been out of town for the past week, away on business, but am happily back home now and looking forward to some serious crafty time!  I just have a quick post tonight….

DeNami Designs is hosting a competition on their Facebook page and my card has been selected as one of their finalists!  The challenge was an inspiration photo and I was inspired by the colors & the combination of florals and foliage (can't you tell?!?).

The card that receives the most "likes" on it will win…  Sooo… (shameless plug coming…) if you are so inclined, I would love it if you could swing over, check out the other worthy candidates, and then "like" mine!  :)

Thanks for stopping in…  Hope all is well with you in your neck of the woods…  'till tomorrow, my friends!  :)

Teacher Want an Apple???

Good Morning and Happy Hop Day!  :)  You are probably arriving here from Tenia Nelson's super-hip blog and, if you are, you're right on track!  Today, DeNami Designs is celebrating the annual rite of passage for children and parents alike -- Back-to-School!  I have to admit that when I first heard this was going to be the theme for this month's hop, I was a wee bit thrown…  I don't have kids, have been out of school for a hot minute or two, and kinda only think about Back-to-School long enough to realize it coincides directly with more traffic on my commute to work!  :-/

But then I stopped and thought about it, and remembered that I was actually one of those nerdy kids who liked school -- nay, loved school.  And I always looked forward to the end of summer and starting back to class -- new school supplies (shocker, huh?  Especially given what my adult hobby has turned out to be…  :), new clothes, waiting for the day they'd post the lists of what teacher you'd been assigned to  (and which of your friends were assigned to the same class)….  all of it!

So what says Back-to-School better than a spiral notebook and an apple for teacher?  Nothing, I tell you!  With that in mind, here's my card:

For this card, I knew I wanted to use the apple stamp from this Petit Fours set, so I decided to pair it with this leaf stamp to create my own patterned paper for my origami bow.  For the sentiment, I used this Petit Fours set combined with my own writing (no judgement, please!  :)  Finished it all off with some glitter and there you have it!

I hope you like it and think it's worthy of a passing grade!  :)  Speaking of a passing grade, I'm about to pass you straight to the head of the class -- to Amy Smidebush's blog, where I'm certain she's created something worthy of the dean's list!  :)  If you get lost somewhere along the way, or just want to start hopping from the beginning, remember you can always just head back to the DeNami Designs blog to get the full list in order!

I hope you enjoy today's hop and find lots to inspire you!  Remember to leave comments all along the hop for a chance to win one of two mini shopping sprees from the DeNami website!  :)  You have until 11:59 pm PST Monday, 9/10/12 to leave your comments!

And now…. Class Dismissed!  :)

I {heart} You! :)

Hello!  Welcome to another fabulous DeNami Designs Blog Hop!  Hopefully you are enjoying yourself, and if you are hopping in order, I know you are…  Because that would mean you have arrived here from the super-fab blog of Paulina Nakamura -- and I have no doubt that she whipped up something fabulous just for you!  :)

I love this month's theme because it is all about COLOR!  Bright, Bold, Beautiful color!  And, boy, did you come to the right place!  Here's my card:

I knew for this card that I wanted to use one of my favorite sets of Petit Fours from DeNami, the Hearts stamp set paired with this super-sweet sentiment.  And, of course, it wouldn't be a DeNami Blog Hop if I didn't use my favorite DeNami stamp -- the Circle Scallop cling stamp (I know, kinda a random choice to be my fave, but seriously… it's so versatile and I use it a lot!!!)…

Soooo…  I just went to town inking up one of those cute little hearts in about a million different colors  to create my background, die cut my heart window (used Hero Arts Heart Frame-Cuts), masked my sentiment strip, stamped and colored and stickled my scallop border, and then colored my ribbon (it was originally a white satin ribbon, so I colored it with a copic marker and spritzed it with colorless blending solution and mushed it around in a ziploc baggie till it was the color I wanted!  :)   And voila!  Bright, Bold, and Beautiful!

Thank you so much for stopping by -- you're about to head off to see what the very talented Rae Ann has in store for you…  I know it's gonna be good!!  (Remember if you get lost anywhere along the way or if you just want to start all over from the beginning, you can always head back to the DeNami blog for a full list of participants!)

But before you go, I wanted to remind you to leave comments all along the hop for a chance to win one of two gift certificates to the DeNami Designs website!  You have until 11:59 PM PST August 13th to leave your comments to be eligible for a prize, so HOP to it!!  :)

Daydream Believer?

Welcome to the DeNami Designs "Summer" Blog Hop!  I'm sure you've been enjoying "Hot" card after "Seriously Hot" card along this hop!  :)  I mean, is all this inspiration getting you all fired up, or what???

With that in mind, thought you'd enjoy chillin' here for a minute or two...  I think I've got something pretty cool to share!  ha!  :)

If you are hopping in order, you should be arriving from Greta Hess's fun blog -- bet she had a real sizzling something to share!  Don't forget you have until 11:59 PM PST on July 9th to leave comments all along the hop for your chance to win one of two mini shopping sprees on the DeNami Designs website!

Ok, so the theme this month is "Summer," and when I think of summer, I think of lots of sunshine and like to daydream about sippin' Mai Tais on a tropical beach somewhere...  (I'll keep the part about being fed frozen treats by a sun-bathed beach god to myself...  :)  Thankfully, I had just the set of stamps I needed to create my ode to summer!

I used this set to stamp these adorable "adult bevvies" which I colored with Copics and then coated with Glossy Accents.  I used this circle scallop stamp to create my "placemats" which I then paper-pieced.  And, finally, I combined the "cheers" stamp with this one (selectively masked, of course!) to create my own sentiment...  Lots of fun!  :)

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving comments -- I appreciate every one of them!  :)  I hope you are enjoying the blog hop.  You're off now to Deanna Jean's super-creative blog (I'll be right behind you -- can't wait to see what she's come up with!!  :)   If you get lost along the way, or would just like to start over from the beginning, just head on over to the DeNami Designs website!

Happy hopping!  :)

...... ummmm, excuse me, Beach god, my Mai Tai appears to be empty.....  ;-)

"Whale" You Still Love Me...?

Pin It Welcome to the DeNami Design "Ravishing Ribbons" Blog Hop!  I'm certain you've already seen some fabulous creations, especially if you are joining me from Dana's über-creative "Kismet, Art & Life" blog!  (Love her stuff!)

**DeNami Design is giving away two $20 Gift Certificates to a couple of lucky people who leave comments along the blog hop!  Make sure to leave comments all along the hop by 11:59 pm PST April 16th to be eligible!**

Ok, so I admit I am a sucker for cheesy punny sentiments (and post titles, apparently!)...  :)  And one of my absolute favorites is this cute whale stamp from Denami Design!  I have used it again and again with this "Get Whale Soon" stamp also by DeNami, but wanted to do something different for this hop...  (I just couldn't "kelp" myself!  Ha!)  Take a look:

I used my Distress Markers to create the background on watercolor paper and spritzed the heck out of it with Perfect Pearls before tearing and layering on dimensional adhesives.  Same process for that cute little whale after I heat embossed him.  Once he dried, I flipped him over and rubbed his underside with a stylus on a mouse pad to give him his "curves!"  The sentiment is that "Get Whale Soon" stamp that I masked so I could change it up...  :)

Hope you like it and that you find lots of really great inspiration along the hop today!  Next up is the super-talented Michele Gross!  (If you get lost along the way or just want to start over from the beginning, you can always go back to the DeNami Design blog for that!)  But before you go, don't forget to leave a comment to be eligible for one of those DeNami Design gift certificates!  :)

Thanks again for stopping by!  I whale-y appreciate it.
(ok, seriously, now I'm done...)    :)
