Hello!
Ok, so I mentioned in my last post that my mother had quite the dubious reaction to the card I'm about to share with you… She literally saw it sitting on my counter and said, "Huh (kinda high-pitched-like)…. Sooo... what did you do to this one?!? I've never seen a card that looked like that before…" (To her credit, she immediately started back-pedaling by asking me questions about color and technique… but I saw through that! :)
Now, I admit this one is a bit different, but that's ok every now and then, right?
I chose my colors based on the color palette over at The Play Date Cafe this week. I love this combination -- it reminds me of the beach, for some reason!
Anyway, enough stalling… Here it is:
Thanks for stopping by! Hope the rest of your week goes by swimmingly! :)
Yes, this is compeletely different for you..ILOVEIT!! GREAT BG and the washi is SCRUPTIOUS!!

LOVE that background! gorgeous! too funny about your mom. when my mom sees a dud (your IS NOT, I'm just telling a story!!), she gets this look on her face, not really sure what to say, then I say, "it's not working", and she goes, "nope, not really". maybe it's funnier if you know her. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteArtistic & beautiful! Isn't it wonderful that we don't all like the same thing & yet we can appreciate the work?

Jen - your card is stunning; Moxie Fab indeed!! Heading outside the 'zone of usual' is always okay and always a 'learning experience.' Sometimes you learn what works, and sometimes you learn what doesn't (I do a lot of the latter!). Mom's dubious reaction - too funny! My mom would likely respond the same way (along with a raised eyebrow!). Thank you so much for commenting on my Just A Note post! You definitely 'made my day' with your warm words!!
